This & That

The good folks over at Autumn Olive paired
my turnip painting with a turnip recipe. Check it out:

An update on my art class: The kids are adorable & keep me laughing. My goal is to have an actual picture of them by the end of the year, but the camera is the last thing on my mind for now. Last week we went on a leaf hunt and made imprints of our finds. They loved mixing the paint & showing each other what colors they came up with. This is one of their little creations:

This week, to get in the spirit of Halloween, we made "magic bottles", wizard hats, and wizard wands. At the end of class we had contest.... everyone came up with a wizard name & modeled their costume. This event was extremely photo worthy, but I was busy keeping wandering hands out of the "treat box" (read: bribe-to-behave box). It was truly a hoot.... among the contestants was a "Wizard Tinkerbell" and a "Wizard Lizard".

Check me out....

My Seller Bio is currently on the North Georgia Etsy Blog!

Speaking of checking me out, I get tickled every time I run across these pictures on my computer:

One of the festivals we applied for wanted pictures of us 'working in our studio'.  Well, neither of us have an actual studio, so we had to fake it.  Wendy set up a scene in her bathroom & I just took a picture in the bedroom I paint in... cutting out the bed the best I can.

A little more OX

Check out http://etsynorthgeorgia.com/. My little Ox watercolor is featured in an article about the Chinese New Year. This sight, by the way, is a blog for the "North Georgia Etsy Team". There are lots of talented people from North Georgia on Etsy.
