Before 'painted.'....

there was interior design.  I have a hard time focusing on anyone or any conversation when I'm taken with a space.  Or furniture in this case.  As previously mentioned, my brother & his fam. moved to Athens a few weeks ago.  They've been vagabonds for the past 5 years, moving across the country.  When they settled, lots of furniture came out of storage (aka parent's houses).  I helped them unpack & shuffle furniture, all the while secretly coveting.  That South Georgia girl came with an excellent dowry:

This is an old set of post office boxes.  Cool, huh?  The "THINK" sign actually came from my dad & I just found this info on it:

When Thomas J. Watson joins the Computer-Tabulating Recording Company -- the forerunner of today's IBM -- in 1914, he brings with him the "Think" motto he coined when he managed the sales and advertising departments at the National Cash Register Company. "Thought," he says, "has been the father of every advance since time began. 'I didn't think' has cost the world millions of dollars." Soon, the one-word slogan "THINK" appears in large block-letter signs in offices and plants throughout the company.

I'm in LOVE with these antique lawyer's bookcases.  They're stackable, the glass doors open up, quarter sawn oak, excellent conditions... I'm having heart palpitations thinking about them.  They're to die for.  Don't they make an excellent china display?

These guys are just a little icing on top...
