The Big Reveal...

at Big City Bread. Ahhh, I can mark that off the list. It's always good to have a showing scheduled... it helps keep me motivated to work on my own art & holds me accountable.

THANKFULLY my brother was able to help me hang today. I could probably do it on my own, but it sure was helpful & efficient to have him involved. Outside of that , it's always totally awkward to be in a restaurant hanging. Everyone is staring at you, you're fumbling with misc nails & screws, you're stretching high to reach the nail/screw and probably either have your stomach or underwear hanging out. I'm glad it's done & I'm indebted to Chase (pictured in doorway below) for all his help.
It's wonderful that so many places in town display local art. It's works well for everyone involved.... places of business always have new art on the walls and artists get a place to display their work.

Athens is full of cool old buildings & I'm now noticing just how many have interior brick walls. I love the way that look, but they sure aren't ideal for hanging. I've only displayed in one place where I was allowed to nail into the wall & it was a dream. Everywhere else, you've got to work with what's already in the wall. Hence the bizarre placements.

Total side-note.... Hallelujah for this weather!!!! It's amazing!
