I recently received an email from someone wanting a barn board to go above her Willow Tree nativity scene.  She said she couldn't find anything that worked & I knew she was right on the money with the barn board.... it'll look great above it.  I know this because I, too, have this nativity scene.

I must admit, my first reaction to her attached picture was pure envy... she has the complete nativity.  At one time I found the Willow figures to be odd, something about them being "faceless" bothered me.  When Trent & I got married in May of 2006 his aunt & uncle gave us the nativity scene.  I packed it away & didn't lay eyes on it again until December.  I fell in love and realized what a wonderful wedding gift a nativity scene is.  I'm normally not an advocate of straying from the registry, but this one hit it out of the ballpark.  There's something about the subtle coloring and humble figures that represent the Nativity so beautifully and accurately.  I have a few more pieces to go until completion....
