You really can't help turning into your parents. As different as you may think you are from them, little subtleties will pop up here & there eventually. Yesterday, as Trent & I drove home from my parents, I realized that I was telling him the name of every blooming plant/tree species we passed. "Oh, look at the Red Bud Trees!" or "That Yoshino Cherry is beautiful!" or "I just love the smell of Wisteria.". My brother & I always tease my mom about how she would hold us hostage on long car rides and read articles from Readers Digest to us, but I totally forgot about her doing plant identifications along the way. I guess I'll probably start subscribing to
Readers Digest next.
