I've missed you. Nickie the Nikon (I gave her that nickname this a.m.) arrived around 5 p.m. yesterday. We had a sweet reunion and I immediately filled her in on everything she's missed over the past few weeks. She's not breathing a word about what happened at the repair shop, but her clicking is gone (the reason she was sent to get repaired) & all of my settings are erased (not good). I'm sure it was a bit traumatic.
I've been working on my second series of paintings. I like to focus on a particular subject & go with it. Root Vegetables is where I went with this one.... carrots, beets, parsnips, rutabagas, turnips, et cetera. There are more root vegetables than you probably care to know about, but many are not very "paintable". Not with my paintbrush anyway. I'm wrapping up with some watercolors today & will be hanging everything up at Big City Bread on September 1st.
