An Etsy kind of Monday

During college I studied abroad in Japan for a summer.  Talk about culture shock.....kids wanted to have their picture made with me, everyone stared, salad with chopsticks for breakfast, smells of fish everywhere, not to mention the fact that I don't know how to read Kanji.  It's one thing to be in Europe and open your language book to decipher a sign, but that's really not an option with a bunch of Japanese symbols.

None the less, it was an amazing experience.  The trip has been on my mind a lot lately and anything Asian in nature is inspiring me.  I requested a Japanese flute cd for Christmas (which I'm currently listening to), went out for sushi this weekend, and went on an "Japanese Etsy hunt" this morning....

Koolmono got me tickled.  These baby kimonos are just precious & this little one appears to really enjoy hers.  Check it out!
