Happy 2010!

Yes, it's a bit of a bummer that the holidays are over.  BUT.... I don't like all this talk about January & February being the pits.  January is.... well, the new year.  Can't get much more exciting than that.  All the planning of how to execute your resolutions & reflecting on the year past should keep you busy.  February is even more exciting.  We've got Mardi Gras, Fat Tuesday, and Lent kicking off the beginning of the month.  Then we move right into Valentines Day (it's only as commercialized as you let it be), which also happens to be the Chinese New Year.  Whew.  If you really need another reason to celebrate.... the 26th is my birthday (as well as my aunt's & niece's AND my sister-in-law's wedding anniversary).  My point is.... any opportunity to celebrate a day that is unique from the others makes life fun.

In carrying with my Asian kick, I'm getting ready for the Chinese New Year.  For those of you who don't know, Chinese New Year is based on the lunar calendar, unlike our New Year.  With it falling on Valentine's Day this year it is to be doubly auspicious.  2010 is the year of the tiger and will be full of passion.  Any recent setbacks or obstacles can be overcome, so look forward to a year in which to really shine, either personally or professionally!

This 5x7 watercolor print will be available on Etsy soon.  In the meantime,
